Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel recently announced the appointment of Torsten Richter as their new General Manager. With over 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Richter brings a wealth of international expertise and a commitment to service excellence.
Background
Richter transitioned from being Minor Hotels’ area general manager for Malaysia & Indonesia and general manager of Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. His previous roles include top positions at notable hotel brands across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Minor Hotels’ vice-president for F&B and operations in Asia, Mark O’Sullivan, expressed confidence in Richter’s capabilities by stating, “Torsten’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Anantara Siam Bangkok. His expertise and passion for excellence make him the ideal leader for our flagship property.”
Meet Torsten Richter
Hailing from Germany, Torsten began his career in 1989 with an apprenticeship at Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe and later earned a Diploma in Hotel Management. His previous experience includes positions at prestigious hotels such as The MARK Hotel in New York and leadership roles in various renowned properties in Asia, including The Ritz-Carlton in Berlin and The JAFFA in Tel Aviv.
