TAP Air Portugal Introduces New Route Connecting Porto to Boston

TAP Air Portugal has launched a new service between Porto and Boston, enhancing travel options for both residents and tourists.

TAP Air Portugal has officially inaugurated its new route from Porto to Boston, fulfilling Flight TP227, which landed smoothly at Boston Logan International Airport. This new service will run four times a week, showcasing the growing connectivity between the north of Portugal and the US.

Flight Schedule

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays until October 25. The seven-hour and 35-minute journey departs Porto between 5:40 PM and 6:15 PM, reaching Boston between 8:20 PM and 8:45 PM. Return flights from Boston will depart between 10:55 PM and 11:15 PM, landing in Porto the following day between 10:35 AM and 10:55 AM.

During the inaugural celebration at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, Hugo Espírito Santo, Portugal’s Secretary of State for Infrastructure, expressed excitement about the new route. He was accompanied by Luís Rodrigues, President of TAP, and Thierry Liggonière, CEO of ANA Airports.

According to Luís Rodrigues:

“TAP is bringing Porto closer to the rest of the world, enhancing mobility for residents and boosting tourism from North America and Brazil to Porto and Northern Portugal.”

Thierry Liggonière remarked:

“This inaugural flight marks a significant achievement, confirming our ongoing collaboration with TAP Air Portugal and supporting the development of international routes focusing on quality and sustainability.”

TAP now serves two destinations in the US from Porto, Boston and Newark, and offers flights from Lisbon to several North American cities.
