Royal Jordanian Airlines Launches Amman to Damascus Service

The airline resumes flights connecting Amman to Damascus starting January 31.

Royal Jordanian Airlines has announced the resume of its flights between Amman and Damascus, starting on January 31, with four flights scheduled weekly. This new non-stop service will enhance existing bus routes between Amman Airport and Syria. The airline intends to expand this service to daily flights by April 2025. The flight time will be approximately 25 minutes, making it the quickest air route to Damascus.

Tickets are now available for purchase through Royal Jordanian’s website or local travel agents.

Samer Majali, CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, stated: “Resuming our new flights to Damascus emphasizes our commitment to be one of the first airlines to offer international connectivity to the Syrian market. Amman has long served as the gateway to Syria, enabling travelers from the U.S. and Europe to connect to the region. We look forward to reconnecting Syria to the world.”

Furthermore, Royal Jordanian is set to increase its fleet as part of its expansion strategy, aiming to grow from 25 aircraft in 2024 to 41 by 2027, including new A320 Neo aircraft equipped with enhanced features.
