Princess Cruises has launched a third voyage to its 2026 Total Solar Eclipse series with a 14-day Mediterranean & Adriatic cruise aboard the Enchanted Princess, now available for booking. Departing from Rome on August 4, 2026, this cruise will provide a unique opportunity to watch the total solar eclipse, scheduled for August 12.
The Enchanted Princess will be positioned off the eastern coast of Spain, offering guests a spectacular view during the eclipse, promising two minutes and 18 seconds of totality. Special onboard experiences will include eclipse viewing glasses, astronomy lectures, themed treats, stargazing sessions, and opportunities for guests to bring telescopes and dress in eclipse-themed attire.
The itinerary features famous Southern European cities such as Naples (with stops at Capri and Pompeii), Kotor, Dubrovnik, Corfu, Messina, Palermo, Gibraltar, Alicante, and Barcelona. The cruise starts and ends in Civitavecchia, near Rome.
This new cruise adds to Princess Cruises’ two other eclipse-themed voyages in 2026: one aboard the Sky Princess, departing from Southampton on August 8, and the other on the Sun Princess, offering varied itineraries from Barcelona and Athens.
In the past, Princess Cruises hosted an eclipse-viewing voyage in 2019 aboard the Sapphire Princess, where many guests and crew witnessed an annular eclipse during a Southeast Asia itinerary, building on which the 2026 series promises expanded programming and routes.
