As it celebrates its 20th anniversary, digital travel platform Agoda is calling on hoteliers and accommodation providers in the region to join a significant sales campaign leading up to the festivities on May 19.

The initiative aims to be Agoda’s most comprehensive promotion to date, connecting partners and travelers with a variety of exclusive offers across accommodations, flights, and activities. The birthday sale will present travelers around the globe with remarkable discounts of up to 60% from May 7 to May 20, and an impressive 70% discount on May 21 only.

Participating partners will gain a valuable opportunity to enhance property visibility, attract high-intent guests, improve occupancy rates, and leverage Agoda’s 20 years of market leadership.

Born from a Desire for Global Travel

This campaign emerges as Agoda customers show rising interest in international travel. Recent data indicates that 87% of travelers plan to maintain or increase their travel frequency compared to 2024, with many of these trips involving international borders.

According to Agoda’s Senior Vice-President for Supply, Andrew Smith: “For 20 years, Agoda’s mission has been to make travel more accessible while delivering greater value to our partners who have been with us from the beginning and as we grew. This campaign is not just a celebration; it’s another way for our hotelier partners to connect with international travelers through our world-class technology and deep understanding of local markets.”

Defined by Strong Partnerships

Agoda has fostered strong alliances throughout its journey, with around 95,000 accommodations joining the platform in its early years, many of which remain engaged today. This reflects the trust and collaboration built with its partners, allowing Agoda to host over 5 million accommodation listings globally.

Smith also remarked, “By generating excitement around this campaign, we aim to help hoteliers capitalize on our birthday buzz for measurable outcomes.”

Agoda’s evolution from listing a boutique hotel in Pattaya to becoming a global network with five million properties mirrors the ambition of its partners. The platform now connects customers with over 130,000 flight routes and 360,000 activity providers.

In the last decade, Agoda has dedicated itself to developing tools that assist accommodation partners in working more effectively. The PartnerHub platform provides properties with access to a variety of digital tools designed for optimal performance. On average, properties utilizing tools like Agoda Intelligence secure 30% more bookings than their competitors, transforming complex data into clear business strategies and helping partners enhance visibility while boosting revenue.
