
THAI Unveils Enhanced Royal Silk Class Experience on Airbus A320
Thai Airways International introduces its newly revamped Royal Silk Class cabin which aims to elevate the passenger experience with state-of-the-art features.
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) held an event at its Maintenance Hangar at Suvarnabhumi Airport to present its new Royal Silk Class cabin aboard the Airbus A320 aircraft, which offers a unique experience for passengers.
Event Title: THAI A320: Elevating Travel Experience
The event featured attendance from several key figures:
- Piyasvasti Amranand, chairman of the plan administrator
- Chansin Treenuchagron, plan administrator
- Chai Eamsiri, Chief Executive Officer
- Cherdphan Chotikhun, Chief Technical Officer
- Korakot Chatasingha, Chief Commercial Officer
During the event, Chatasingha expressed, “THAI remains committed to implementing our Commercial Excellence strategy to achieve sustainable revenue and profitability. In 2024, we successfully executed our strategy under the ‘One THAI One Fly’ campaign, which integrated Thai Smile Airways into the THAI brand, resulting in significant revenue improvements.”
He further emphasized that the upgraded Royal Silk Class aboard the A320 showcases THAI’s commitment to product and service development, aligning with a customer-centric approach.
Chatasingha added, “This enhancement illustrates our dedication to setting new benchmarks in air travel, especially for short-haul routes… This service, initiated in January, will feature on all 20 aircraft by the second quarter.”
Cabin Configuration and Amenities: The Royal Silk Class cabin on the A320 includes:
- 12 exclusive seats in a 2-2 configuration
- Wireless entertainment systems and adjustable seats
- Comprehensive dining and exclusive privileges such as Fast Track immigration service and Priority Boarding
The service encompasses eight domestic routes as well as 22 international destinations across Asia.
