
Projected International Visitor Spending in Türkiye to Hit ₺2.6 Trillion in 2025
Türkiye's tourism sector is on track for a remarkable performance in 2025, with an estimated ₺2.6 trillion in international visitor spending, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
According to recent findings shared by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Türkiye’s Travel & Tourism industry is expected to reach new milestones in 2025 with a significant ₺5.2 trillion contribution to the national economy, accounting for 12% of its GDP.
International visitor spending is anticipated to hit ₺2.6 trillion, highlighting Türkiye’s burgeoning attraction as a global destination. Furthermore, domestic visitor expenditure is forecasted at ₺1.4 trillion, showcasing the robust nature of the local tourism sector.
The tourism sector is projected to generate 3.3 million jobs, which amounts to over **10% of the national employment in Türkiye.

Looking ahead, the WTTC forecasts continual growth for the sector up to 2035, estimating a contribution of ₺7 trillion to the economy and maintaining strong job support across various tourism-related industries.
