Lufthansa Introduces New Seattle-Munich Flights

Lufthansa launched its new direct service between Seattle and Munich on May 31, utilizing A350 aircraft. This addition complements their existing daily flights from Seattle to Frankfurt that began in 2008.

The new service, operating as flight LH488, will run three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Seattle at 6:50 PM and arriving in Munich at 1:45 PM the next day. For the return journey, the MUC-SEA leg, also LH488, will depart Munich every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday at 3:30 PM and land in Seattle at 4:59 PM.

The inaugural flight was celebrated with a traditional water salute from the fire department of Seattle airport. This new offering is part of Lufthansa’s commitment to enhancing travel connectivity, being a member of the Star Alliance with easy access to 26 partner airlines.
