A&K Sanctuary Expands with New Luxury Retreat in Utah

Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) announces a new luxury retreat in Moab, Utah, enhancing its A&K Sanctuary portfolio.

Luxury travel firm Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is expanding its award-winning A&K Sanctuary portfolio with the introduction of a new luxury retreat in Moab, Utah.

The new property symbolizes a bold move into the American West, blending A&K’s immersive adventure spirit with an elevated design set in North America’s iconic landscapes.

Located at the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the retreat promises a new experience to explore Utah’s stunning red-rock canyons, marrying the rugged desert beauty with the comfort and storytelling A&K is known for.

Designed to accommodate just 40 guests and slated to open in 2027, this property embodies the founding philosophy laid out by Geoffrey Kent over six decades ago: adventure by day, luxury by night.

A&K Travel Group CEO Cristina Levis commented about the area’s potential: “Moab is a place of awe-inspiring natural beauty and limitless potential for meaningful exploration… We are creating a new kind of retreat that invites travelers to engage deeper with this setting in a more soulful way.”

Luxury Amidst Natural Wonders
Each year, millions visit the national parks of the American West, yet luxury accommodations are comparatively scarce. A&K Sanctuary’s expertise in developing exceptional properties in remote locations places them uniquely to fulfill this growing demand. The Moab retreat aims to deliver something distinct that will attract discerning travelers looking for depth, beauty, and a true sense of place.

Accommodations will feature a mix of one- and two-bedroom standalone suites, surrounded by dramatic canyons and private trails, emphasizing ample space, elegant design, and seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.

Guests can expect a carefully crafted program of activities, from adventurous hiking, biking, and rafting, to classic expert-led tours known for A&K, including scenic drives and cultural experiences. A wellness component, featuring a spa and tranquility spaces, is also part of the retreat’s offerings, designed to align with its natural beauty.

A central lodge will be the heart of the property, providing panoramic canyon views and fostering community among guests.

According to Rebecca Osman, Chief Destination Officer of A&K Travel Group: “For our guests, luxury is not defined by excess but by access, connection, and meaning. This new retreat is designed to honor that philosophy.”

A Period of Growth
A&K underwent a significant brand refresh in December 2024, evolving alongside A&K Sanctuary to emphasize experience-led hospitality. The new Moab retreat is one of many developments, with planned openings including Gorilla Forest Lodge in Uganda and Baines’ Camp in Botswana in 2025, and new properties under development across locations in Mexico, Australia, and South America.
