Millennium Hotels and Resorts Commits S$1 Million to Community Chest

Millennium Hotels and Resorts announces a significant donation to support vulnerable communities in Singapore as part of its 30-year anniversary celebrations.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR), celebrating its 30th anniversary, has pledged S$1 million to Community Chest (ComChest) as part of its commitment to assist vulnerable communities in Singapore. The funds will be distributed over three years, contributing S$500,000 in 2025 followed by S$250,000 each in 2026 and 2027. This initiative will primarily benefit children with special needs and at-risk youth.

Since partnering with ComChest in 2023, MHR has actively contributed to various social service programs. MHR has also embraced inclusive hiring practices, encouraging the employment of individuals with disabilities and tailoring job roles to their strengths, showcasing its commitment to creating an equitable workplace.

Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Chairman of City Developments Limited, stated, “As we celebrate this significant 30-year milestone, we take pride not only in our global expansion but also in our commitment to giving back.”

Kwek Eik Sheng, Group COO of MHR, emphasized that this partnership extends their impact beyond the hospitality industry, while Saurabh Prakash reiterated the importance of their social responsibility.

Chew Sutat from Community Chest welcomed MHR’s commitment, highlighting its potential to create meaningful societal change through sustainable philanthropy. MHR will also host its Annual Charity Dinner on August 29, 2025, further reinforcing its dedication to philanthropy and community support.
