Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) initiated its scheduled service to Zhangjiajie on April 15, right after the launch of its direct flights from Hong Kong to Guilin. This latest addition enhances GBA’s operational footprint within Mainland China, expanding its network to five routes.

The new route offers three weekly flights connecting Hong Kong and Zhangjiajie. Supporting the launch were key executives from GBA and representatives from the Airport Authority Hong Kong including Assistant Manager for Hub Development, Raymond Wong, who was there to welcome both passengers and the aircrew of the inaugural flight at the Hong Kong International Airport.

The inaugural flight landed at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport around 11:30 PM. A ceremonial event took place on April 16 at the airport’s apron to commemorate this new route, with honors given to various guests, including Li Cizhong from the Zhangjiajie Municipal Government and Stanley Kan, GBA’s Ground Services Manager.
