Iloilo International Airport Celebrates First Direct Flight from Scoot

The inaugural Scoot flight from Singapore to Iloilo was greeted with joy by local residents and officials, marking a significant development for regional tourism.

Iloilo International Airport celebrated its inaugural direct flight from Scoot, which arrived from Singapore on the morning of April 14. This flight, which carried 107 passengers, was welcomed with a water cannon salute and local festivities, showcasing the cultural richness of the region.

The return journey to Singapore took off shortly after, featuring 103 passengers on board. The Philippines’ Civil Aviation Authority remarked, “The new route reinforces Iloilo’s role as a regional gateway and is expected to boost tourism and economic activity in Western Visayas. CAAP continues to work closely with aviation partners to promote regional growth while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.”
