
Goa Tourism Conducts Successful Roadshow in Oman

Goa Tourism successfully conducted a high-impact roadshow in Muscat, Oman, reinforcing its commitment to promoting Goa as a premier tourism destination in the Middle East. The roadshow served as a strategic platform to engage with key travel trade professionals, tour operators, media representatives, and potential investors, highlighting Goa’s diverse tourism offerings and emerging opportunities.
The event witnessed the presence of Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director GTDC, along with leading stakeholders from Oman’s travel and hospitality industry.
The Goa Tourism delegation was accompanied by members of the Travel Trade Association led by TTAG President Shri Jack Sukhija, which included charter operators, hoteliers, and travel agents.
An engaging networking session featured key discussions revolving around new tourism initiatives, such as regenerative tourism, eco-tourism circuits, and niche segments like wellness tourism, adventure tourism, and cultural heritage experiences. Smt. Tavishi Bahl, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Muscat, addressed the attendees with warm remarks, highlighting the growing tourism and cultural ties between Goa and Oman.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte emphasized, “Goa is evolving beyond its beaches to offer a diverse and enriching tourism experience — from the serene charm of our hinterlands to world-class infrastructure for MICE tourism. This roadshow aims to strengthen ties with the Middle East market and invite travelers and businesses to discover Goa’s vibrant culture.”
Highlighting the roadshow’s significance, Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, added, “Goa is positioning itself as a global tourism hub, emphasizing a blend of cultures, rich heritage, serene landscapes, and immersive experiences. Our strategic international engagements aim to strengthen tourism partnerships and enhance connectivity.”
In his keynote speech, Managing Director GTDC, Kuldeep Arolkar, stated, “Oman is an important market for Goa, and we are committed to enhancing tourism collaboration. This roadshow offers a valuable platform for fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing travel experiences that resonate with international travelers. The response from Oman’s travel community has been overwhelmingly positive.”
As part of the event, Goa Tourism hosted a special ‘Goa Evening’ at Crowne Plaza Muscat, showcasing Goa’s vibrant culture through traditional performances, a destination presentation, and a networking dinner.
