Cebu Pacific Receives Its First Aircraft Delivery of 2025
Cebu Pacific enhances its fleet with the delivery of a new Airbus A330neo, marking significant progress in its operational capabilities.
Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has recently received its first aircraft delivery of the year, an Airbus A330neo, on March 28. This delivery is a significant milestone in enhancing the airline’s operations and modernizing its fleet.
The newly acquired 459-seater aircraft arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila and is the first of four A330neos anticipated to be integrated into the Cebu Pacific fleet this year. In total, the airline expects to welcome seven new aircraft later in 2025.
Xander Lao, the airline’s president and chief commercial officer, expressed excitement about the delivery:
“We are thrilled to welcome our first aircraft delivery for 2025. The arrival of our latest A330neo strengthens our operational resilience, allowing us to serve more passengers while continuing to offer affordable and sustainable air travel. We look forward to bringing dream destinations closer to everyone with this addition to our fleet.”
Operational Flexibility with New Aircraft
Currently, Cebu Pacific boasts one of the youngest fleets globally, featuring a mix of 11 Airbus A330s, 39 Airbus A320s, 26 Airbus A321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft, facilitating extensive network coverage within the Philippines.
The Airbus A330neo offers Cebu Pacific improved flexibility for both regional and long-haul routes, addressing high-demand sectors while ensuring operational cost efficiency.
Furthermore, the A330neo has been engineered to consume 15% less fuel per flight and to produce lower noise levels than older models, contributing to a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
