
Aviation analytics firm Cirium has recently published its Global On-Time Performance (OTP) Report for March 2025, highlighting Saudia’s remarkable achievement of having 94.07% of its flights arrive on schedule, making it the most punctual airline worldwide.
Global Ranking:
- Saudia came in first with an impressive score of 94.07% for timely arrivals.
- Following closely was SAS with 91.92%, and Aeromexico with 91.47% punctuality.
- Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines ranked fourth and fifth, achieving 90.9% and 90.71% respectively.
European Contenders:
In Europe, SAS led with 91.92% of flights on time, followed by Austrian Airlines with a score of 91.86%.
Airport Performance:
Notably, Riyadh King Khalid International Airport was recognized as the most on-time large airport globally, with 93.92% of flights departing on schedule, ahead of airports in Istanbul and Doha.
Cancellation Insights:
Flight cancellations in Europe saw a decrease of 1.9%, totaling 8,103 in March, compared to 8,261 in February.
Cirium defines an on-time flight as one that arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled time. The report considers only the top percentage of airlines based on passenger capacity across three regions.
