Cathay Pacific has announced the launch of direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome as part of its expansion efforts.

Starting June 5, 2025, the airline will operate a three-times-weekly summer service, marking Rome as its 12th European destination.

Lavinia Lau expressed excitement about returning to Italy, stating, “Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy stretches back close to 40 years… we are delighted to be returning to Italy’s marvelous capital this summer.”

Comfort and Convenience

The new service will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring fully flat beds in Business Class and improved seating arrangements.

The flight details are:

• Hong Kong to Rome: CX293 departs at 00:45, arriving at 07:50 on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
• Rome to Hong Kong: CX292 departs at 11:45, reaching at 05:20+1 on the same days.

Strengthening Hong Kong as an Aviation Hub

Cathay Pacific is focused on extending its passenger network aiming for 100 destinations by 2025. Additional routes are planned to cities like Hyderabad and Dallas.
