Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Sky now includes Mumbai in its Asian route, offering new experiences for travelers.

Norwegian Sky Expands Its Itinerary to Include Mumbai

Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) cruise ship, Norwegian Sky, has now added Mumbai to its 14-night port-heavy itinerary in Asia. The newly updated ship set sail from Singapore, with stops at Malaysia’s Port Klang, Phuket in Thailand, and Galle in Sri Lanka, headed towards Doha, Qatar.

While making its way from Galle to Doha, Norwegian Sky visited four cities in India: Kochi, New Mangalore, Mormugao, and Mumbai, where it docked on April 7. The ship’s next destinations are Dubai and Abu Dhabi before reaching its final stop in Doha.

Spanning 258 meters and weighing 77,104 gross tons, the Norwegian Sky accommodates 1,944 guests along with 899 crew members, providing an excellent cruising experience. Originally launched in 1999, it was refurbished in 2024 and now boasts diverse dining options, entertainment venues, and recreational facilities.

At the Mumbai stop, guests can explore the city’s rich heritage, including landmarks like the Gateway of India and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, alongside its vibrant markets and historical districts. This visit underscores NCL’s aim to deepen local interactions, connecting travelers with the destinations they visit.

Manoj Singh, NCL India’s country head, remarked:

“Asia remains a key focus for NCL, both as a source market and a sought-after destination for global travelers. The arrival of Norwegian Sky in Mumbai marks our commitment to providing varied and immersive itineraries throughout the region. After her visit to India, Norwegian Sky will head to Europe’s finest destinations in 2025 and 2026, offering Indian travelers opportunities to explore new spots with itineraries ranging from seven to fifteen days, visiting a new destination daily while enjoying exceptional dining and entertainment aboard.
