
Hotel Lima of Marbella Kicks Off 60th Anniversary Celebrations
Hotel Lima in Marbella has commenced its 60th anniversary celebrations with an event bringing together local authorities and industry professionals.
Today, Hotel Lima launched the festivities for its 60th anniversary with an event featuring local officials and professionals from various relevant sectors. Deputy Mayor Javier García highlighted the hotel’s significance as both a cultural and touristic landmark, stating it “is part of the city’s soul” and has successfully modernized while retaining its essence.
García also expressed gratitude to the Lima family for their dedication to Marbella over these six decades, during which three generations have overseen the business, ensuring quality and excellence. Celia Rodríguez Lima, owner partner of the hotel, conveyed her appreciation for the support from the City Council and the warmth received on this momentous occasion. She recalled that the hotel, established by her grandfather Paco Lima, was granted its first license on April 7, 1965, and reopened in 2020 following renovations that upgraded its rating from two to four stars.
The anniversary events will continue on May 15 with a concert featuring Soleá Morente and Antonio Arias. Celia Rodríguez emphasized that the hotel is not just a destination for tourists but also a cherished spot for Marbella residents, solidifying its role as a cultural emblem with activities on its rooftop and exhibitions in Lima Contemporánea.
