Hotel Indigo Launches in New Zealand with Boutique Flair

IHG’s Hotel Indigo opens its first location in New Zealand, blending local culture with modern design.

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ boutique lifestyle brand, Hotel Indigo, has officially launched its first location in New Zealand with the opening of Hotel Indigo Auckland. This 225-room hotel emphasizes local storytelling, incorporating rich history, culturally inspired art, and globally influenced cuisine, creating a vibrant destination for both travelers and locals.

Matt Tripolone, IHG’s Managing Director for Australasia & Pacific, expressed excitement regarding the hotel’s debut in Auckland, stating:

“Hotel Indigo is one of the world’s leading boutique lifestyle brands, and we are excited to see its New Zealand debut in Auckland as we continue to grow IHG’s portfolio of exceptional luxury & lifestyle stay experiences in the region. This marks the fifth Hotel Indigo in Australasia, and we congratulate our partners at Ninety-Four Feet on this landmark development.”

General manager Matthew Simister added:

“This boutique brand is deeply connected to the local community, and we’ve proudly woven Auckland’s rich history, art, and culture into every aspect of the hotel.”

The hotel’s design pays homage to its historical significance, featuring an exciting blend of heritage and modern architecture, along with stunning city skyline views from its 27 floors. Uniquely designed interiors and curated local artworks enhance the cultural experience at every corner. The Bistro Saine offers a dining experience combining French-Mediterranean cuisine with local influences, making it a key attraction in the new hotel.
