Regent Phu Quoc Launches Art Showcase: 'Pursuing Fantasia – A voyage to the enchanted island'

The new art exhibition at Regent Phu Quoc combines Vietnamese lacquer sculpture and silk painting.

Regent Phu Quoc is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest art showcase, ‘Pursuing Fantasia – Journey to The Enchanted Island’, set to highlight contemporary Vietnamese art. This exhibition illustrates a unique synergy between the lacquerwork from Lamphong Studio and the silk paintings of artist Nguyễn Minh Quân. Opening on April 9 and continuing through September 2025 at the Regent Phu Quoc Gallery, visitors will experience an evocative narrative that merges traditional Vietnamese artistry with modern interpretation.

Curated by ChuKim, this exhibition transports viewers to a fictional realm where visual arts unveil new dimensions. The “enchanted island” referenced in the exhibition title points towards Phú Quốc, celebrated for its stunning landscapes and cultural richness.

The exhibition navigates beyond mere aesthetic pleasure; it encapsulates a profound exploration of beauty and surrealism intertwined within personal reflections. Delving into the space allows participants to converse with their consciousness, negotiating the line between reality and fantasy.

General Manager Sriram Kailasam remarks, “At Regent Phu Quoc, we are dedicated to providing exceptional experiences that transcend the typical resort atmosphere. This exhibition serves as our pledge to showcase the diverse talents of Vietnamese artists, delivering authentic cultural encounters that illuminate Vietnam’s artistic legacy.”
