Regent Phu Quoc has announced its latest art exhibition for the season: Pursuing Fantasia: Journey to The Enchanted Island. This anticipated display highlights the contemporary artistic dialogue between Laamphong Studio’s lacquer sculptures and the silk paintings of Nguyễn Minh Quân.
Curated by the esteemed Vietnamese art curator ChuKim, the exhibition invites viewers into a fictional space where visual art opens up new horizons. It opens on Wednesday, April 9, and will run through September 2025 at the Regent Phu Quoc Gallery.
General Manager Sriram Kailasam commented: “We believe in creating enriching experiences that go beyond a typical resort experience. This exhibition, Pursuing Fantasia: Journey to The Enchanted Island, is our commitment to showcasing the vibrant talent of Vietnamese artists. We aim to provide our guests with authentic cultural encounters, highlighting the depth and diversity of Vietnam’s artistic heritage.”

The “enchanted island,” as depicted in the title of the gallery, implies a direction towards Phú Quốc, known for its immense natural beauty and rich experiences. The term “Journey” not only references a physical trip but also invites viewers into an inner exploration where beauty and the surreal intertwine in personal experience.
As they delve deeper into the exhibition, viewers will engage in a dialogue with themselves, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
ChuKim remarked: “This exhibition is not just a journey through existing landscapes but also a voyage into the depths of thought and emotion, evoking a dialogue between Vietnamese lacquer sculpture and silk painting.”
