Henderson Land Development Company Launches the Henderson Art Garden
The newly opened Henderson Art Garden enhances creative expression and ecotourism.
Henderson Land Development Company Limited has transformed the former Lambeth Walk Rest Garden into the new Henderson Art Garden, which is now accessible to the public.
The project aims to promote artistic expression in Hong Kong, offering diverse experiences that engage art enthusiasts and the general public.
This Art Garden, developed in conjunction with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, is situated next to The Henderson, a premier Grade-A commercial space. It harmoniously integrates art, innovation, and sustainability, showcasing a series of nature-inspired works by acclaimed local and international artists.
Among the featured installations is Breathing Tree, a pioneering zero-carbon kinetic sculpture created by American artist Ned Kahn, permanently displayed to visualize nature’s dynamism.
Also on display is the world’s first permanent digital light installation by Philipp Frank, titled Hypnotic Dream, which uses abstract projections of a tree’s internal frequencies to create an immersive experience for visitors.
Additionally, the Fractal Forest sculpture by STICKYLINE x Leanna Lee employs fractal geometry and golden ratio principles to emphasize conservation and biodiversity. This artwork will be displayed until May 31.
The Henderson group prioritizes sustainable development and has worked closely with ecologists to plant nectar-rich flora, enhancing the area’s ecological diversity and ensuring a butterfly-friendly habitat.
