Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, has celebrated the launch of its new direct route from Bahrain International Airport to London Gatwick Airport with special events at both airports. This milestone is a key part of Gulf Air’s strategy to expand its network and enhance passenger connectivity options.

This new route introduces London Gatwick as Gulf Air’s second major destination in London, alongside its established service to Heathrow Airport, which has welcomed travelers for over 55 years since 1970. The addition of Gatwick allows travelers to access two significant international gateways in London.

The departure ceremony at Bahrain International Airport featured a welcoming reception for guests, marking the airline’s dedication to connecting Bahrain with vital worldwide locations. A ceremonial reception was also organized at London Gatwick Airport to commemorate the inaugural flight, attended by representatives from Gulf Air and the airport, including Hanadi AlAali, Gulf Air’s Chief Customer Experience Officer, and Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer at London Gatwick Airport.

As part of Gulf Air’s broader restructuring and expansion initiative, this new route aligns with the airline’s commitment to improve customer experience by providing seamless travel connections.
