GRT Hotels & Resorts has unveiled The GReaT Patashala, a virtual learning YouTube channel focused on enhancing hospitality training through bespoke Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) videos. This initiative initially aimed at internal training has been broadened to benefit hotel management students, industry professionals, and aspiring talent.
The launch event at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels featured esteemed guests, including Venkatesan Dhattareyan, Regional Director (South) of Indiatourism, who presided over the ceremony. The event also hosted a discussion panel featuring notable participants like Dr. Sobhana Devi, Assistant Professor at Madras Christian College, Dr. Jaisree Anand, Dean of Hotel Management at Vels University, and Mr. Prabu, Joint Registrar at Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute University. Their insights contributed to a rich dialogue on the evolution of hospitality training.
To promote inclusivity, GRT Hotels & Resorts has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with V-Sesh, a Chennai-based organization dedicated to employing differently-abled individuals. This collaboration aims to utilize the channel for skills development and training.

Vikram Cotah, CEO of GRT Hotels & Resorts, stated: “Our vision for The GReaT Patashala extends beyond internal training; we aim to positively impact the broader hospitality community by sharing knowledge and fostering growth.”
The channel now hosts over 75 carefully curated videos combining fundamental hospitality practices with contemporary industry trends. It covers various topics, including billing processes and guest accommodation guidelines, serving as a crucial resource for hospitality professionals and students.
