Intrepid Foundation Calls for Support for Myanmar Relief Efforts

The Intrepid Foundation seeks contributions to assist communities affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar.

Intrepid Travel, through its corporate social responsibility division, the Intrepid Foundation, is urging the global community to provide aid to Myanmar, where communities are suffering from the aftereffects of the earthquake that struck on 28th March. Severe devastation has been reported, with many areas still cut off from essential supplies and communication.

“My friends and colleagues are reporting catastrophic damage in Myanmar, a country that holds a special place in my heart,” said Mike Stewart, Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia. He emphasized the dire need for relief efforts as the country battles with downed infrastructures.

To support victims, donations to the Myanmar Earthquake Appeal will be matched by Intrepid up to AU$100,000. Biheng Zhang called upon other professionals within the travel and tourism sectors to lend their support, stating, “The impact of the earthquake in Myanmar is severe. Your help can bring critical aid to thousands of families in need.”
