
Cvent, a provider of meetings, events, and hospitality technology, has rolled out the Cvent Event Industry Report 2025 Asia Edition. This detailed report aims to provide event professionals with essential insights and trends to help them adapt to a changing event environment, make informed decisions, and create engaging experiences for their intended audiences.
According to the report, planners anticipate a 58% rise in in-person events, alongside a 58% increase in webinars and virtual events, and a 57% growth in hybrid events. The main driver for this growth is revenue generation, with competition from other industry events identified as a key challenge that planners need to overcome.
A positive outlook for the Asia market is supported by 74% of event professionals planning to boost spending on events, with 100% regarding event expenditure as a priority. The willingness of organizations to invest in event technology is also highlighted; 25% would prioritize this, 21% would focus on event promotions, while 13% aim to increase the number of events.
Technology is rapidly reshaping the events sector, with brand reliability, ease of use, and reporting analytics influencing tech choices. In Asia, 90% of organizations are eager to explore new event tech solutions. The increasing role of AI is significant, with 87% using it throughout the event planning, management, and marketing processes. This shift isn’t merely a trend but represents a substantial opportunity for creating more engaging experiences.
Sustainability and accessibility also feature prominently, as 88% of respondents report sustainability goals for their events this year. Moreover, 70% are prepared to monitor the carbon footprint of their events, and 80% implemented sustainable practices in previous years. Additionally, 72% maintain accessibility goals for this year, marking a collective responsibility to advance positively.
