Flyadeal is setting its sights on catering to over 75,000 pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj season. This achievement marks a significant growth from last year’s figures, where the airline transported 35,000 pilgrims, reflecting a 35% increase compared to the previous year. The airline plans to use additional widebody charters to fly to Jeddah and Madinah, essential gateways to the Holy City of Makkah.
Year-Round Services
Flyadeal aims to enhance its Umrah services as well, expanding operations from Turkey, Iraq, and Uzbekistan, while later this year, it will include flights from the UK, Thailand, India, and several African and Central Asian countries.
Strategic Growth Announcement
These developments were revealed at the 4th Annual Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah, under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, organized by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. During the event, Flyadeal showcased its capabilities alongside other members of the Saudi Group, including Saudia and Saudi Ground Services.
Insights from Broader Operations
Steven Greenway, CEO of Flyadeal, highlighted the significance of this year’s Hajj forum, stating, “This year’s Hajj forum was a perfect opportunity to give visiting delegations and travel companies insights into Flyadeal’s Hajj preparations for 2025 and our exciting growth in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South Asia.”
Future Endeavors
Greenway added that managing Hajj operations entails extensive coordination with travel partners to ensure a seamless experience for first-time pilgrims, many of whom may also be first-time flyers. Rakan Alotaibi, the Director of Hajj & Umrah at Flyadeal, noted the airline’s commitment to facilitating smooth annual Hajj processes, amidst the complexities involved.
