
Lady Gaga Concert Boosts Hotel Reservations in Singapore
Trip.com notes a significant increase in hotel bookings due to the upcoming Lady Gaga concert in Singapore.
Trip.com has reported a dramatic spike in hotel bookings in Singapore as fans secure accommodations for Lady Gaga’s highly-anticipated four-day concert series in May.
Scheduled performances on May 18, 19, 21, and 24, these concerts will be the only stop in Asia for the global superstar’s tour. This event has significantly increased travel interest in Singapore, showcasing its potential as an event tourism destination.
Substantial Increase in Bookings
According to Trip.com, hotel bookings have surged by over 202% compared to the same week last year. Additionally, bookings rose by 76% for the following week after the concerts.
Trip.com anticipates further increases as more fans secure concert tickets as the event date approaches. Notably, international bookings are largely coming from China, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, and South Korea. Meanwhile, budget-conscious travelers constitute 38% of accommodation searches, primarily for 3-star hotels or lower, compared to 18% in the following week.
