Emirates Anticipates High Travel Volume During Eid Al Fitr Holiday
Emirates Airlines foresees an influx of travelers during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday, advising early arrival at the airport.
Emirates anticipates busy weekends ahead of and during the Eid Al Fitr holiday with high traveler volumes arriving and departing from Dubai. The busiest days for departures in Terminal 3 will be March 28 and 29, along with April 5 and 6, with over 80,000 daily travelers heading abroad for their spring break holidays.
With possible traffic congestion around Terminal 3 entrances, Emirates urges customers to allow extra time for their journeys to avoid delays.
Passengers should arrive at the airport up to 3 hours before their flight and pay attention to their boarding times to ensure timely arrival at the departure gate.
Emirates City Check-In
Customers can choose various check-in options available to them. These include:
- Online check-in via emirates.com or the Emirates App, starting 48 hours prior to departure.
- Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store located in ICD Brookfield Place, accessible 24 hours to 4 hours before departure, except for flights to the US.
- Home check-in from residences or hotels.
- Convenient check-in kiosks and baggage drop facilities in Terminal 3, along with mobile check-in ports distributed across the terminal.
- For travelers from the northern Emirates, check-in is available at the Ajman Central Bus Terminal from 24 hours to 4 hours pre-flight.
Emirates Home Check-in
Additionally, customers can drop off their luggage at the airport the night before for free or check in early and drop off their bags 24 hours prior to departure, or 12 hours for flights to the US. This allows them to proceed directly to immigration or Smart Tunnel for hassle-free processing.
It is advised that customers clear passport control and security at least 90 minutes before departure and reach their gate at least 60 minutes before flight time if traveling in Premium Economy or Economy Class, and 45 minutes for First or Business Class. Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before take-off, so late arrivals will not be accepted.
