Sabre Corporation has signed a landmark deal with Vietjet Air, enabling the airline's content to be available in Sabre's global travel marketplace for the first time.
Global travel technology provider Sabre Corporation has established a new distribution agreement with Vietjet Air, marking a significant enhancement in the airline’s global reach.
This partnership will enable Vietjet’s content to be featured for the first time in Sabre’s global travel marketplace. This development is pivotal for the airline, as it intensifies the expansion of its flight network across the Asia-Pacific region.
Brett Thorstad, Vice President for Agency Sales at Sabre Travel Solutions, stated:
“The integration of Vietjet’s content into Sabre’s platform will provide substantial advantages not only for the airline but also for travel agencies and travelers alike. This will foster improved connectivity and contribute positively to the growth of the travel sector in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
With this agreement, Sabre-connected travel agencies can now book Vietjet flights effortlessly, ensuring better access for passengers to a carrier that continually revolutionizes budget travel experiences within the region.
Advantages for Vietjet
Through this collaboration, Vietjet will have the opportunity to distribute its fares and discounts on a global scale using Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS).
This will enhance the range of options available to agencies connected to Sabre, allowing them to provide customers with more flight choices and competitive pricing from one of Southeast Asia’s most innovative airlines.
Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice President of Vietjet, commented:
“By making our content available through the Sabre distribution network, we are reaching more travelers worldwide. The agreement will improve our ability to offer competitive fares and extensive route options to more passengers globally.”
Currently, Vietjet operates flights to approximately 100 destinations and has codeshare agreements with other prominent airlines. The airline is also in the process of expanding its global flight network by acquiring new aircraft from leading manufacturers worldwide.
