Team Efforts Towards Sustainability

The GSTC certification is a product of Rosewood Impacts, the group’s strategy to promote positive impacts across communities and the planet, aligning with the Group’s goal of becoming purpose-led. This year, initiatives include a group-wide carbon-neutral journey and the introduction of five new properties as Impact Trailblazers.

Through GSTC certification, Rosewood affirms its leadership in sustainable hospitality, ensuring properties like Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Rosewood Jeddah adhere to the highest environmental and social standards.

Meeting High Standards

The certification validates that the Group’s operations and guest experiences meet four primary GSTC criteria: effective sustainable management, social and economic benefits for local communities, preservation of cultural heritage, and environmental responsibility.

Mehvesh Mumtaz Ahmed, vice-president of impact and sustainability, noted the importance of intertwining sustainability and social impact initiatives into the core business strategies, emphasizing eco-friendly culinary practices and collaboration with local communities.
