Puerto Banús Unveils New Port Consulting Services for Marinas and Recreational Ports

Puerto Banús has launched a strategic initiative to provide consulting services aimed at improving the management of marinas and recreational ports globally.

Puerto Banús, known for its concentration of luxury boutiques, has taken a significant step in 2025 with the launch of its port consulting services. This strategic initiative aims to share its extensive experience in the management and development of marinas and recreational ports, both at the national and international levels.

In 2024, luxury boutiques in Puerto Banús reported revenues exceeding 310 million euros, representing a 9.9% increase from the previous year. This growth is driven by a remarkable surge in Arab tourism, which has increased by 195% compared to 2019, becoming the main driver of purchases in the area. It is estimated that the average spending of each exclusive Arab tourist in Europe reaches 59,000 euros per visit, highlighting fashion and leather goods as their primary acquisitions.

Puerto Banús hosts over 100 renowned international fashion brands along its two-kilometer waterfront, significantly impacting the local economy by creating jobs and generating income for Marbella. Notable brands include Bvlgari, Rolex, Dior, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton.

The new consulting division aims to offer a comprehensive service encompassing all phases of a recreational port’s lifecycle, including strategic planning for marinas, market analysis, operational and commercial management, as well as environmental and legal consulting. It will also provide human resources advice for the selection and training of management teams.

“The successful model of Puerto Banús has been a benchmark in the nautical industry. With this new consulting line, we want to bring our experience to other destinations looking to achieve excellence in port management,” affirms Juan Núñez Insausti, CEO of Puerto Banús. This initiative marks a new chapter for the port, consolidating its position as a leader in the nautical sector and offering its expertise to an expanding global market.
