This accolade represents the pinnacle of recognition in the marina industry and is bestowed upon those that deliver an exceptional marina experience with tailored services and superior facilities.

The Global Gold Anchor rating offers boat owners and marina users an easily understandable metric similar to hotel star ratings. Marinas undergo independent evaluations against over 86 criteria, including management practices, environmental standards, and facility conditions, ensuring they meet high expectations. The assessment process also involves anonymous user feedback.

Raising the Bar for Excellence

MIA CEO Suzanne Davies commended Ocean Marina, which has also been nominated for the MIA’s 2025 Marina of the Year Awards scheduled for May in Sydney. “Ocean Marina Jomtien sets the bar for Gold Anchor standards with services and facilities that surpass tenant expectations,” she remarked. “It’s impressive to see such a well-standardized marina along with a robust boatyard serving the recreational boating market in Southeast Asia.”
