ICCA Collaborates with AIME to Enhance the Business Events Sector in Asia Pacific

The International Congress and Conference Association (ICCA) has announced a partnership with AIME to support the business events industry across the Asia Pacific region.

The International Congress and Conference Association (ICCA) has announced a new Industry Partnership with the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME).

This partnership aims to provide enhanced business opportunities for ICCA members in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and beyond.

AIME will act as an advocacy partner, amplifying the voice of the international business events industry to enhance destinations. AIME is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and managed by Talk2 Media & Events.

ICCA’s CEO Senthil Gopinath signed the agreement with AIME representatives Matt Pearce, Director of Talk2 Media & Events, and Julia Swanson, CEO of the Melbourne Convention Bureau during AIME 2025, held from February 10 to 12 in Melbourne, Australia.

This collaboration between AIME and ICCA reflects both parties’ dedication to fostering growth and development in the business events community.

Gopinath stated, “ICCA’s partnership with AIME signifies our commitment to supporting the growth of the Asia Pacific meetings industry, which has seen tremendous expansion in recent years and continues to play a significant role on the global stage.”

Pearce emphasized the importance of this partnership for the future of the business events industry in the region. “The AIME team has collaborated closely with Senthil, Waikin Wong, and the entire ICCA team for several years, and we are delighted to formalize this industry partnership,” he mentioned.

This year, the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) and ICCA partnered for the second time on the Emerging Leaders Challenge, inviting emerging leaders to present their innovative ideas for the business events sector’s future.

AIME 2026 is scheduled for February 9-11, 2026, in the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, featuring programs like the ICCA Business Exchange and an AIME scholarship to nurture future business events professionals. AIME will also participate in the ICCA Congress in Porto, Portugal, from November 9-12, 2025.
