American Airlines Enhances In-Flight and Lounge Dining Options
American Airlines is set to improve its food and drink offerings for premium passengers this spring, including new meals and top-shelf spirits.
Premium travelers on American Airlines will soon enjoy a variety of new food options in lounges and during flights, showcasing a range of tasty dishes and high-quality spirits. This enhancement is part of the airline’s efforts to provide an unforgettable culinary experience, especially for its premium customers.
The airline has announced a refresh of its food and beverage selections set to debut in the Spring of 2025. This overhaul includes new breakfast items and all-day snacks available in lounges across twelve cities, including:
- Miami International Airport (MIA): Build-your-own tacos with spicy chicken, roasted vegetables, soft tortillas, and shredded cheddar
- LaGuardia International Airport (LGA): Build-your-own breakfast slider featuring an egg patty and cheddar cheese
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT): Sweet and sour pork served with pineapple, brown rice, and quinoa, topped with toasted sesame seeds, scallions, and chili crisp
- Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW): Argentina beef empanada accompanied by roasted red pepper chimichurri
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Orange peel tempura chicken with roasted red pepper and onion
Moreover, lounges will introduce an array of premium spirits to enhance travelers’ experiences between flights, including Still G.I.N., Casamigos Añejo Tequila, Tequila Ocho Reposado, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and Horse Soldier Bourbon Whiskey.
Onboard, first-class passengers on short-haul flights will be offered various new meals at breakfast and in the afternoon. Some of the breakfast highlights include:
- Biscuit and chicken sausage gravy with cheesy scrambled eggs
- A white cheddar and Monterey Jack omelet with chicken sausage, served with seasoned wedge potatoes
- A smothered veggie and cheese frittata with tomato wedges and everything seasoned potatoes
Starting from March 18, 2025, travelers in all classes can use their AAdvantage miles to purchase meals and eligible beverages during flights.
