
Emma Duangphophim Takes the Helm as Executive Sous Chef at Banyan Tree Krabi
Ammaraporn ‘Emma’ Duangphophim has been appointed as the new executive sous chef at Banyan Tree Krabi, managing its diverse dining establishments.
Banyan Tree Krabi has appointed seasoned culinary expert Ammaraporn “Emma” Duangphophim as their new executive sous chef. In her new role, Duangphophim will manage operations at the resort’s three dining venues: The Naga Kitchen, a restaurant offering international cuisine; Saffron, the signature Thai restaurant; and the beachfront Kredkaew Bar.
She joins a culinary team known for its dedication to sourcing sustainable and seasonal products from local producers. Regarding her new role, Duangphophim stated, “I am expecting a luxury hospitality experience focused on exceptional food & service, wellness, and environmental sustainability.” She also expressed her excitement about refining her skills and incorporating traditional southern Thai recipes into her culinary practices.
Originally from Bangkok, Duangphophim holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration and boasts over 15 years of experience in prestigious kitchens across Thailand. Her previous positions include chef de cuisine at Avani+ Mai Khao in Phuket and leadership roles at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel in Bangkok.
