
In the first two months of 2025, Brazil welcomed 2,810,553 international tourists, marking a 57% increase compared to the same timeframe in 2024. This growth is the highest recorded in this period.
In February alone, 1,326,884 visitors arrived in Brazil, leading to a stunning 59.2% increase, marking the second record-breaking month of the year. January already showcased a record with 1.48 million tourists.
Marcelo Freixo, President of Embratur, noted: “In the first two months of the year, we reached visitation levels above any projection, even the most optimistic ones… We are transforming our potential into reality.”

Growth Drivers
Regions such as Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo attracted most foreign tourists, with numbers at 347,186 and 309,977 respectively. The uptick in Argentine visitors also stood out, with 662,694 entering Brazil in February, suggesting a strong recovery in cross-border tourism.
European arrivals also surged by 56%, with approximately 142,000 tourists from countries like France and Germany visiting.
Previous Records
Brazil had already broken records in annual tourist arrivals in 2024, with an accumulated total of 6,773,619 visitors, which was 14.6% more than in 2023.
