Europe is home to the largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with 231 natural wonders attracting over 100 million visitors each year. This can lead to overcrowded experiences at popular sites.

To uncover Europe’s hidden gems, Emerald Cruises analyzed Google Maps reviews of both natural and cultural sites, focusing on scenic praises by searching for terms like “beautiful” and “stunning.” They also used Google Search data to find locations that were popular but lesser-known.
