
Cathay Pacific Announces New Direct Flights from Hong Kong to Urumqi Starting April 2025
The airline expands its reach with a new route to Urumqi, marking its 20th destination in mainland China.
Cathay Pacific is expanding its global network with the introduction of direct flights between Hong Kong and Urumqi, effective April 28, 2025. This service will be offered four times a week, making Urumqi the airline’s 20th passenger destination in China.
The new flights will add to the over 290 return flights weekly between Hong Kong and mainland China operated by Cathay Pacific and HK Express this summer, including major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.

Aside from Urumqi, Cathay Pacific has plans to launch additional routes to Hyderabad, Dallas, Rome, Munich, and Brussels in 2025, aiming to serve over 100 destinations globally.
