Agoda Publishes Insights on the Travel Preferences of South Korean Women

Agoda's report unveils the evolving travel patterns of South Korean women as they embrace adventure and shared experiences.

As the world celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday, 8th March, online travel platform Agoda released its latest travel insights about South Korean women.

According to findings, while both genders plan to increase their travel in 2025, South Korean women are leading the charge in exploring new destinations and favoring shared adventures.

Agoda’s country director for South Korea, Lee Jun-hwan, stated: “Our survey reveals that South Korean women are leading changes in travel trends, particularly with their adventurous spirit and focus on meaningful journeys with family. Agoda remains committed to helping women in South Korea explore new destinations at competitive prices on accommodations, flights, and activities.”

Desire for New Destinations

The survey found that 67% of South Korean women have expressed interest in unfamiliar travel locales, a figure exceeding the Asia-wide average of 60%. This showcases their strong wish to engage with diverse cultures and environments.

Preference for Shared and Shorter Trips

Further indicating their travel preferences, 39% of South Korean women prefer to travel with family, while 22% choose to go with partners. Sharing remarkable experiences with loved ones adds more significance to their journeys. About 52% of South Korean women lean towards short trips lasting between two to five days, allowing for cultural immersion and adventure while providing a breather from their busy lives.
