Wizz Air is set to enhance passenger experiences by shifting to a fully cashless payment system beginning April 1, 2025. All onboard purchases will be processed through card payments, including contactless methods like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.

This move aims to provide greater convenience to travelers. New Revolut users will be able to receive up to £25 back after their first purchase. Passengers will also earn rewards through Wizz Air’s partnership with Revolut, allowing earning of additional RevPoints on their transactions.

Michael Delehant, Senior Chief Commercial and Operations Officer at Wizz Air, stated:

“Implementing cashless payments not only streamlines our operations but also allows our crew to focus more on delivering exceptional service rather than managing cash transactions. This ultimately leads to a more efficient and enjoyable experience for our passengers.”

Bottomline, with the shift to cashless payments, Wizz Air enhances both convenience and safety for travelers.
