Dusit International has formalized a hotel management agreement with PT Komodo Property Management to manage the Kailwatu Residences – Dusit Collection, a new luxury retreat in Labuan Bajo, Flores Island.

Labuan Bajo is recognized as one of Indonesia’s rising tourism hotspots, making it an ideal setting for this new development. This signing marks the first Dusit Collection hotel in Indonesia, enhancing the success of its luxury villa rental subsidiary, Elite Havens, which manages properties in Bali and Lombok.

A Milestone for Dusit

Gilles Cretallaz, Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer stated: “The signing of Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection marks a significant milestone in Dusit’s expansion strategy, strengthening our presence in Southeast Asia’s thriving luxury hospitality market.” Cretallaz further emphasized the extraordinary potential of Labuan Bajo and the unique hospitality Dusit intends to offer.

Enhanced Hospitality

Alessandro Mugavero, CEO of PT Komodo Property Management remarked: “As Labuan Bajo solidifies its status as a premier global destination, this project is perfectly timed to establish new standards in sustainable luxury hospitality.” He expressed confidence that, with Dusit’s commitment to excellence, this partnership will redefine the region’s hospitality landscape.

The project will feature 63 expansive private villas and 194 contemporary apartments, with a completion target set for Q2 2028.

Located at the western tip of Flores, just a 10-minute drive from Komodo International Airport, Kaliwatu Residences – Dusit Collection is designed to offer tranquility alongside breathtaking views. The location provides proximity to Labuan Bajo’s unique attractions, including pristine beaches and heritage sites.

Recognized for its wildlife and marine beauty, Labuan Bajo aims to attract 1.5 million tourists annually, bolstered by recent enhancements to local infrastructure and travel connections.
