Etihad Airways Introduces Employee Cadet Pilot Scholarships

Etihad Airways has launched a new scholarship program for its employees, offering ten full scholarships for their Cadet Pilot training.

Etihad Airways has announced ten new Cadet Pilot scholarship places for internal candidates from all backgrounds as part of its newly established Employee Cadet Pilot programme. This initiative follows the success of the UAE National Cadet Programme, which attracted over 2000 applicants.

In a bid to honor the diversity represented by the 145 nationalities within the airline, Etihad has provided these scholarships to ten employees, allowing them to transition into pilot training as they pursue their dream careers.

Dr. Nadia Bastaki, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer, stated: “Our growth strategy is driven by the escalating need for skilled pilots. The Employee Cadet Pilot Programme is crucial in preparing future generations with necessary expertise in the ever-evolving aviation sector.”

Additionally, seven out of the ten candidates selected are women, highlighting the company’s commitment to empowering female representation in aviation, especially in recognition of International Women’s Day.

Candidates undertook a demanding two-month application process involving various assessments, including English, math, and physics tests, in addition to psychometric evaluations and health checks.

Captain Fahad Alseiari mentioned: “Our objective is to cultivate world-class pilots to meet Etihad Airways’ high operational and safety standards, using the latest technology to ensure our cadets excel.”

With this launch, the Employee Cadet Pilot Programme will continue to contribute significantly to developing skilled talent and support the growth of Etihad Airways.
