Vietnam Extends Visa Waiver Policy for Twelve Countries

Vietnam renews its visa exemption policy for citizens from twelve countries until 2028 to attract more tourists and facilitate trade.

Vietnam announced that it will continue its visa waiver for citizens from twelve Asian and European countries through 2028.

Details of the Waiver
The waiver, in place since August 2023, allows for a 45-day visa-free stay. The countries benefitting from this policy include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This initiative aims to enhance Vietnam’s appeal to tourists and foster international trade.

New Exemptions
Additionally, visa exemptions have also been granted to citizens from Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Poland, permitting them a similar 45-day stay until December 31. These efforts reflect Vietnam’s commitment to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations with these nations, enhancing tourism and cultural exchange.
