Upcoming Celebration of English Tourism Week from March 14 to 23, 2025

The annual English Tourism Week is set to promote the vital role of tourism in local economies and communities.

English Tourism Week, the annual week dedicated to celebrating England’s tourism industry, is fast approaching. Businesses, destinations, and visitor attractions are encouraged to participate.

Taking place from March 14 to 23, 2025, the week aims to highlight the tourism industry’s importance to local communities and economies and showcase the various products and services available to enhance domestic trips.

Coordinated by VisitEngland, this year’s theme is ‘Supporting people and places to drive growth’, emphasizing the key players in England’s tourism sector.

Chris Bryant: “England’s first-class tourism offering is a source of national pride, bringing in billions for the economy, supporting millions of jobs and driving growth into local communities.”

“English Tourism Week is a time to celebrate the hard work of our visitor economy showcasing our country to the rest of the world. We aim to welcome 50 million international visitors to the UK by 2030.”

Andrew Stokes from VisitEngland commented on the significance of the tourism sector, stating, “This is a call to encourage everyone to explore England during spring and summer, acknowledging the hard-working individuals in the industry.”

During the week, the Tourism Superstar 2025 competition will also conclude with voting open until midnight on March 24, leading to the announcement of the winner at the end of English Tourism Week.

Tourism remains one of England’s largest sectors, supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses and generating roughly £71.6 billion annually in domestic visitor spending.
