
IHG Names Bryan Chan New Vice-President for Development in Southeast Asia and Korea
Bryan Chan has been appointed as the new vice-president for development at IHG, focusing on expanding operations in Southeast Asia and Korea.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Bryan Chan as its new vice-president for development in Southeast Asia and Korea on March 6, 2025.
With IHG’s ambitious growth plans, Chan will guide the strategic expansion of the brand within the region, fortifying stakeholder relationships and leading an adept team of market-based developers.
Rajit Sukumaran, IHG’s Senior Vice-President and Managing Director for East Asia and the Pacific stated:
“I am delighted that Bryan will assume this vital leadership position. His extensive regional and global experience, gained from his tenure in Singapore and at our Global Headquarters in Windsor, coupled with his broad knowledge in hospitality, real estate, marketing, and project finance, assures us that he is the right person to spearhead our brand growth across urban and resort destinations.”
Chan expressed his enthusiasm for the role:

Meet Bryan Chan
Chan has been with IHG for over a decade, having taken on roles of increasing leadership within the development sector, progressing from Manager to Senior Director while operating in various markets, including Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, South Korea, and Vietnam. He has also worked at the IHG headquarters in Windsor on significant projects like the landmark Novum partnership in Germany. Chan carries 15 years of deal-making experience across a variety of sectors, including hospitality real estate, energy, and infrastructure.
Prior to joining IHG, he managed Asian transactions for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and served as an analyst at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.
