With the support of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, rural homestays have gained popularity, offering travelers an authentic glimpse into the rich culture and stunning landscapes of the state. These accommodations provide guests with immersive experiences of local traditions and cuisine, making them ideal for those seeking memorable getaways.
During a visit to the Tourism Village Bancha, Union Minister Durgadas Uikey and Mohan Nagar engaged meaningfully with locals, learning about their ways of life while enjoying nature.
Local Experiences: They spent a night at the village, sharing traditional meals including roasted chickpeas and kadhi served in mahua leaves. Activities included scenic walks through serene forests, enhancing their appreciation of the area.
Reflecting on their time there, Uikey remarked:
“Staying in a homestay here has been an unforgettable experience. The peaceful environment, picturesque landscapes, and warm hospitality make it a truly special destination. The local cuisine was especially delightful.”
The initiative not only enriches travel experiences but also economically empowers local communities. Madhya Pradesh has made impressive advancements in rural tourism, now boasting 407 operational homestays as part of its Rural Tourism Project, with Bancha being a key location for these endeavors.
Through projects like this, the state continues to promote rural tourism, providing an authentic escape into the heart of Incredible India.
