The Food Bank Singapore Partners with Sands Cares Accelerator

On March 5, 2025, Las Vegas Sands and Marina Bay Sands jointly announced the inclusion of The Food Bank Singapore into the Sands Cares Accelerator.

The Sands Cares Accelerator is a three-year membership initiative focused on helping nonprofits enhance their community contributions.

The Food Bank Singapore is now the seventh organization welcomed into this program, which was initiated in 2017 to expedite nonprofits on their journey towards making significant community impacts.

During its time in the Sands Cares Accelerator, The Food Bank Singapore will be expanding its Bank Card Programme to streamline food distribution for its beneficiaries. This will involve receiving US$100,000 annually for three years, as well as structured guidance and mentorship from Sands and Marina Bay Sands. This support aims to assist them in achieving their programme’s goals and ensuring its sustainability after exiting the accelerator.

Since 2016, Marina Bay Sands has had an ongoing partnership with The Food Bank Singapore, providing food donations and volunteer efforts to assist in their operations. Following the recent announcement, participation from around 300 team members of Marina Bay Sands has been noted, contributing to the assembly of 6,000 food kits as part of their ongoing collaborative efforts.
