In 2024, Singapore’s tourism sector reached unprecedented levels, with tourism receipts hitting SGD 22.4 billion and visitor arrivals surging to 16.5 million, marking a 21% increase compared to 2023.

Melissa Ow, the Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), stated:

“In 2024, Singapore’s tourism sector posted a strong performance, an affirmation of the industry’s efforts in refreshing our products and experiences.”

Strong Hotel and Cruise Industry

The hotel sector saw an increase in occupancy and room rates, while the cruise industry thrived with 1.8 million passengers welcomed during the year, further establishing Singapore as a major Asian cruise hub.
