Hard Rock Hotel Bali Achieves Milestone with 3,800 Tree Planting
A successful tree planting initiative at Hard Rock Hotel Bali marks a commitment to sustainability by planting 3,800 trees across two sites.
Hard Rock Hotel Bali has successfully planted 3,800 trees across two sites in Bali in partnership with the Bali Hijau Lestari Foundation.
The event, held on February 21, distributes seedlings between Bukit Payang, Mt. Batur, Kintamani in Bangli, and Rendang village in Karangasem. This initiative is part of the fundraising efforts from the Rock n’ Run 5km Charity Fun Run held in December of the previous year.
Shane Coates, the hotel general manager, stated about the event:
“The Rock n’ Run has been our key annual fundraising activity to support local charities for over two decades. It’s always the most eagerly awaited year-ending event, raising spirits and promoting physical fitness while heightening awareness to care for our planet.”
This initiative reflects Hard Rock Hotel Bali’s commitment to sustainability and preserving Bali’s natural beauty. The hotel has recently received certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and is dedicated to implementing sustainable practices while engaging the community through events like Rock n’ Run.
In addition, the planting focuses on cultivating endemic plant species, including ampupu (Eucalyptus urophylla) and mountain pines (Casuarina junghuhniana). The initiative aims to have a positive environmental impact and motivate the community to partake in such efforts.
